  1. How do you honor your parents if you don’t respect them? What are the similarities / differences between honor and submission?
  2. In Genesis 17:17 it says that Abraham laughed, Seemingly for the same reason that Sarah did. Why in Genesis 18:13 does the Lord only address Sarah laughing?

  2. In reading Hebrews 6 there has been a lot of confusion with verses 4-6. How does it apply to us today? Satan has used these verses to cause a lot of worry and uncertainty in my own walk, since many years ago I walked away from God, even though I came back.
  3. Since all sin must be paid for, and punishment in hell does not atone for even one sin, did Jesus’ death on the cross pay for the sins of all mankind? And if so, is the ultimate reason people are in hell because of the sins they committed, or because they rejected the Gospel?

I’m not trying to gain more knowledge , but I do at least want to make smarter decisions / choices for Christ. What is the difference between common sense and wisdom?   1. What does effective shepherding look like today? What qualifies someone to be a shepherd?
  2. I have a Christian colleague who is marrying a guy from a Catholic background, but is not saved and does not attend anywhere consistently to my knowledge, at the end of this month. I know based on 2 Corinthians 6:14 that what she’s doing is wrong. But I don’t have a relationship with her outside of work, and don’t want to ruin what we do have. What should I do?
  3. When speaking to peers about the power of Jesus blood, some will question why or how God can forgive and save people whom society deems deplorable such as Hitler or Epstein. Well, I know that the blood of Christ can wash away the vilest of sins and that every sin is equally bad in God’s eyes.   1. We are told to go out into the world and bring others to Christ. How can we do that? How can a young brother/sister bring a newly saved Christian to the assembly? Should we? How can I help them grow in the Spirit and guide them?

Extreme abstinence would lead to a monastic lifestyle, which is not what we are called to. How do we know how much to disassociate from things we can’t agree with?
  4. Is it wrong to view a representation of Jesus? Thinking of everything from “The Chosen” to a cartoon in a Bible story book?
  5. Is it ok to use something other than wine in the cup? For instance grape juice or coca cola in the case of an allergy or in primitive areas where nothing is available?
